We’re all accepting that Christmas won’t be the same this year as it has been in previous years, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be the same tempting and indulgent treats available to us if we want them.
As the Liverpool Echo recently reported, Baileys has released a new flavour of its cream liqueur in time for the festive season of 2020, and it’s received some mixed reactions.
The limited edition flavour for this Christmas is apple pie, with the brand revealing that the tipple has “a delicious blend of fresh apple pie flavours, vanilla ice cream and hints of cinnamon and spice”.
Many of the reviews left on Snack News and Reviews and shared by the news provider come from people who haven’t tried the drink though. Several have commented that they don’t fancy the sound of the beverage.
One even commented: “The strawberries and cream has put me off for life,” referring to a previous limited edition Baileys flavour.
There are others who have sampled the drink and who are recommending it, so whether you want to try the apple pie flavoured Baileys or not is likely to come down to personal taste.
Of course, it isn’t only brands like Baileys that release special flavours for Christmas. Many coffee shops also go all out to create festive beverages, with Starbucks renowned for its warming winter drinks.
Last month, The Star revealed that all the usual festive favourites, including the toffee nut, gingerbread and eggnog lattes, are all back. As is a new and indulgent truffle deluxe hot chocolate.
