Pringles are renowned for their huge variety of flavours, and shoppers are often attracted to the moreish crisps thanks to the interesting options available.
This summer, snack food fans will be even more tempted to purchase a tube of Pringles to find out what the latest offering is, as Kellogg’s is releasing a ‘mystery flavour’ that is being kept under wraps.
Yahoo revealed the unknown flavour will be on sale in the USA from July 30th(2019). Shoppers can get their hands on the cans of crisps at Walgreens stores until August 13th, and consumers are invited to guess what the flavour is.
Anne Marie Suarez-Davis, vice-president of marketing at Pringles, said: “To continue to meet customers’ desires for unique snacking opportunities, we strive to create new, innovative flavours that excite fans and introduce even more flavour stacking combinations.”
She added the new flavour will be “insanely accurate”, so those who try it should be able to guess correctly.
Consumers who want to give it a go can submit their guesses online for a chance to win $10,000 (£7.741.15).
Becky Wolfe, product development scientist, added that the mystery flavour “was especially fun to develop because it needs to be spot on in order for fans to guess the taste”.
Pringles regularly release new flavours, and earlier this year it launched its Rice Fusion range inspired by eastern ingredients. The tins included Malaysian Red Curry, Indian Tandoori Chicken Masala, Peking Duck, and Hoisin Duck.
It also sold Christmas editions of the crisps, which included Prosecco & Peppercorn, Chipolata and Bacon, and Christmas Turkey flavours.
According to Coventry Telegraph, 39 per cent of Brits regularly enjoy trying new flavours, which is why Pringles continues to release different options for its customers.
